Lahore garrison club

The Club was established and registered with Pakistan Polo Association in September 1976 by Lt Gen (Retd) Iqbal Khan (ex Comd 4 Corps) and named as Lahore Garrison Polo Club. However, due to presence of Lahore Polo Club, very few Polo tournaments were played / organized at the club. Lahore Garrison Club accepts a beginner and coaches him / her basic and advance riding skills in Riding School. The qualified riders are then shifted to Polo Academy, where they progressively learn basic gaming techniques of Polo and in the process become potential polo players to join the club as a member of good standing.

Mariner’s Saddle Club

A Professional Horse Riding Club registered at Equestrian Federation of Pakistan. Equestrian sports like Tent pegging, sword pegging, Arena Polo, show Jumping and mounted archery are are the key activities in the club. The club grooms a rider to show his skills in national level events and gets a change to represent Pakistan. Lahore Polo Club

Lahore Polo Club is one of the oldest clubs in the world. The main ground at the club is called the “Aibak Ground” in remembrance to the 13th century King of Delhi, Sultan Qutabuddin Aibak who died in 1210 when his horse fell while playing polo in Lahore.

The club has produced a number of internationally recognized players like the two brothers, Brig. “Hesky” Baig and Col. “Sikku” Baig,.

Some of the dignitaries that have visited (and a few have played) Lahore Polo Club include the Shah of Iran, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillips, Prince Hassan Bin Talal of Jordan, the King and Queen of Malaysia, Sheikh Zaid Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the President of UAE, the President of Turkey, the President of Djibouti, the Governor General of Australia, to name a few.

Equidome

Equidome is a professional riding school with a foundation in the art of classical riding (dressage) as taught in the European riding academies. Good horsemanship requires a balanced combination of discipline, physical coordination, quick reflexes, sharp mental skills, patience and compassion for the welfare of the horse. In order to achieve this, sound training techniques, safety and good riding basics are the foundation for all of our riding classes. 

Our School is conveniently located near DHA at the Bedian Road interchange of the Lahore Ring Road. Special activities include school tent pegging, trail rides, horse shows, lectures and clinics, summer camps, riding clubs, working student program and horse leasing program. For students who board horses at the Equidome Stables, we provide a wide range of special services from supplemental feeding to training.

Lahore Race Club

Lahore Race Club, in Lahore punjab is a club concerned with the sport of horse racing, established in 1924 when Lahore was part of the Punjab province of British india

The club’s racecourse was initially at Jail Road, Lahore, the current site of Jilani Park. In 1976, Zulfiqar Bhutto government asked the club to move its races away from the Jail Road course, but it remained there until 1980, when it was compelled to leave.

In June 2005, the club hosted Pakistan’s first evening horse race under floodlights. The opening ceremony was attended by Pervaiz musharraf , President of Pakistan , and Mohammad bin Rashid al makhtoom crown prince of Dubai who had financed the night-racing project, the cost of which was some Rs 30 million.

After looking at key features, history, coaches, facilities and location of all these renowned clubs in Lahore it is very difficult to select a favourite but Lahore polo club can be declared as the best club in Lahore with  high end facilities, area, location and rich history.
